I’m currently sitting in a tattoo shop, watching my son make his first permanent decision as an adult. This was what he wanted for his 18th birthday and many disagreed with our decision to bring him to have this done. I guess my way of thinking is this: He’s GOING to get a tattoo. He’
s talked about it for years. I know his budget and he would’ve ended up in someone’s kitchen with hepatitis. I researched and found a great place with an amazing artist. At least I was able to add some input in what he is getting. Plus I was able to remind him of future career possibilities when he was choosing a location. The tattoo he chose, however, is in one of more painful spots (his ribs), so here I sit, watching him squirm with discomfort. He’s a trooper though. No breaks so far. I think he just wants it over with. The tattoo artist is even impressed that he’s handling it so well. He looks to be about half way finished at this point. Stay tuned for pictures!
